Your Role
The Payroll Operations team ensures that all employees receive accurate wages and adheres to Federal and State regulatory requirements. The Payroll Support, Advanced, will report to the Manager, Payroll Operations. In this role you will be responsible for proactive collaboration with customers and internal business partners. Knowledge of Federal and State legal requirements, pay regulations and overtime compliance.
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Perform a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities, including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, processing requests for paycheck advances, and processing terminations.
- Maintain knowledge of tax rules and regulations that govern payroll administration practices and ensure that payroll-related transactions are processed in compliance with external and internal policies, as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist department managers and staff by answering complex payroll procedural questions, as well as researching and resolving payroll problems and discrepancies difficult in scale.
- Cross train new and existing staff on general payroll processes and procedure.
- Process standard and complex payroll transactions including but not limited to calculation of regular and supplement cycles
- Bank processes: process reversals, returns, stop payments and reconciliation
- Assist with Payroll escalations for missing pay
- Perform over-payment calculations and collections
- Perform Leave of Absence process and calculations
