The Jr. Graphic Designer will support the Long Island Nets, and the Nets Gaming Crew (NetsGC) which is the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, along with other affiliated properties. The Jr. Graphic Designer will develop and implement design solutions that meet strategies from concept to completion. The Jr. Graphic Designer will play a key role on projects, designing for a range of platforms; social, web, out of home, arena and print.
JOB DESCRIPTION – WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Develops and presents design solutions following creative directions, brand strategy and marketing objectives.
- Communicates design concepts with clear reasoning behind proposed solutions.
- Manages and prioritizes multiple projects to meet established deadlines.
- Take projects from start to finish with the support of our senior creative team members.
- Prepares creative ideas and fresh approaches to each project.
- Design for a range of platforms; social, web, out of home, arena and print.
CANDIDATE PROFILE – WHO YOU ARE:
- Highly motivated, continually presenting new ideas and best practices.
- 2-5 years graphic design experience at an advertising and branding agency preferred.
- Sports advertising and branding experience
- Strong conceptual thinker and designer
- Outside the box thinker
- Experience designing campaigns formatted for social, web, out of home
- Collaborative with strong partnering skills and ability to prioritize multiple competing demands.
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications or any other Art related degree.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating skill in visual design, typography, and illustration (Photography and motion experience is a plus).
- REQUIRED: Mac platform, (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office, Web/interactive experience.
- Your design portfolio is required to apply for this position. Please ensure it includes print and digital pieces.
- Roll-up-your-sleeves approach with a willingness to take on "non-role-specific" marketing duties as needed to support the team and business.
- Clear communicator, both verbally and visually.
- Strong understanding of web technologies as they relate to creative concept development and design.
Travel Requirements
May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
Salary Range
$60,000 - $68,000
Work Environment
Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
