Your Responsibilities
The Sr Product Marketing Manager reports to the Head of Product Management and is responsible for strategic input to product management as well as execution from concept to product launch. This includes describing requirements, closely collaborating with the team, accepting or rejecting work results, and steering the project by tracking and forecasting its progress.
As an entrepreneur, the Sr Product Marketing Manager facilitates creativity; encourages innovation; and is comfortable with change, ambiguity, debate, conflict, playfulness, experimentation, and informed risk taking. The Sr Product Marketing Manager will be accountable for the business field/category in regards to deriving products from consumers’ pain & gain points as well as their shopping behavior. Based on the analysis of the trends the Sr Product Marketing Manager will define the future roadmap requirement and drive the globally aligned roadmap to successful launch. They would be responsible for steering the development of the product along with budgetary steering of resources to ensure metrics like cost, quality and timeline are met. The cross-functional project manager will be the co-pilot in this effort. As the individual responsible for the product’s success, the product owner provides guidance and direction for everyone involved in the development effort and ensures that tough decisions are made. At the same time, the product owner must be a team player who relies on close collaboration with the other team members, yet has no formal authority over them.

- Be the consumer champion: Create project plans and roadmaps with consumer insights inputs and execute products that fulfill market and consumer needs.
- Brief and guide market research (e.g. ethnographic studies, qualitative, quantitative, etc.) to implement product projects in partnership with Consumer Intelligence Manager
- Define consumer insights driven vision and strategy utilizing tools like design thinking and business model validation
- Analyze, compile and define market requirements concerning trends, consumers, competitors, and distribution based on consumer journey framework / supported by cross-functional experts
- Derive user stories and core user experiences from the insights. Translate the user stories to feature set
- Accountable for defining the product strategy along with other stakeholders from development, operations management, design, brand, etc.
- Accountable for the regional product roadmap, achieving synergies on global level in alignment with Global product team, setting implementation timeline and Implement roadmap by initiating product projects, take ownership for the Product Project/ Product Business Case
- Compile all product-related consumer knowledge and translate into product requirements (with own consumer insight & user experience specialists)
- Steer product development projects incl. driving and deciding project in terms of product requirements & specification
- Partner with Global Product Owners on the feature predevelopment roadmap
- Operationalize product strategy, including product improvement, feature prioritization, costing, and release (feature roadmap program)
- Setting deadlines and ensuring that projects remain on schedule and budget working with project management office and individual project managers
- Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
- Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Budget responsibility for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
- Manage and create launch toolkit assets in conjunction with the Product Sell-Through Manager and the Brand Marketing team. Responsible to ensure assets are accurately representing product and product features and provide guidance with regards to consumer driven insights to drive compelling creative execution.
- Analyze and report marketing and POS trends leading to product development decisions
- Timely and regular reporting of project progress required to senior leadership in North America and Global
- Public speaking via senior leadership calls and presentations, trade show attendance, media commentary, and other events may be required
- Standard business analytics metrics to be evaluated and reported on including P&L status on a regular basis.
