The BT Federal Sales Vice President leads all US Government DoD/Intel client sales engagements. This position would be responsible for setting the DoD/Intel Sales Strategy, Plan Execution and building the sales team and quotas. Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
You'll have the following responsibilities
- Overall sales and business development accountability for all aspects of BT Federal’s engagement with DoD/Intel customers.
- Develops successful and sustainable long term business relationships with US Government Customers
- Accountable for defining and executing BT Federal’s strategy, account planning and key opportunity management in respect to a US Government INTEL/ Defense Clients.
- To actively manage all senior level relationships with clients and senior executives.
- To actively manage sales directors/sales managers, inside sales teams.
- Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
- To take a pivotal role in working with BT Federal CTO shaping and delivering solutions for clients
- Change agent – understands customer business challenges to drive IT and managed service solutions to seek innovative ways to expand the business scope of new and existing contracts.
- To contribute to the DoD/Intel business strategy and transformation, by taking account of the collective voice of DoD/Intel customers.
- Mentoring, coaching and developing the next generation of Sales Directors & Managers.
- Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
- Building the BT brand in the market and developing their personal external brand as a business leader and trusted advisor.
- Member of the BT Federal Senior leadership team and major contributor to the management and growth of the business
You'll have the following skills & experience
Qualifications:
- Extensive, and varied complex enterprise sales business experience; Know the DoD environment and terminology. Understands Federal Acquisition process.
- 15 years of work experience in business development of telecommunications networks, IT systems and security professional services. Strong management and leadership skills.
- Management of a successful sales team
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field, or combination of technical and MBA degrees preferred.
- Capable of sustained engagement at the most senior levels and being an advisor to senior clients
- A tangible external brand, possibly through publication of thought leadership or external conference speaking.
- Excellent leadership and management skills and a role model within the business. Brings the BT Values to life. Collaborative.
Skills/Experience:
- A varied career with a combination of significant experience in leading major pursuits, business development or management consulting, underpinned by rounded general management experience.
- Creative, innovative and a strategic thinker. Capable of shaping and influencing a client thinking.
- Business and commercial experience including detailed understanding of P&L management and ability to rapidly build pipeline.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
- Able to quickly build and maintain relationships at the most senior levels. Socially adept in a business setting.
- Understands Government RFPs, proposals and capture process. Ability to manage and grow single award, multi-awards, GWACS and IDIQ contracts
- Experience with Government programs for the DoD/Intel/DHS. Broad knowledge of the telecommunications industry and the Government market.
US Citizen with eligibility for SECRET clearance.
