The Assembly Cell Supervisor plays a key role on our Operations Team. In this role, the supervisor is responsible for overall performance. Leading the assembly team to continuously improve performance, safety, quality, schedule, and cost while ensuring talent development of the team. Sets day-to-day activities and assists in managing and monitoring production operations, maintenance, inventory control, scheduling and personnel.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), scheduling and personnel.
Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function.
Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines.
Ensures all quality related items are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
Assists in cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
Assists in scheduling so that production schedules are met.
Assists in sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, to optimize productivity.
Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.
Monitors performance to maximize productivity.
Assists in production innovation, including additive manufacturing.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices OR
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
