What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swing Reach Operator position at Bubba Smart Solutions?
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other equipment such as pallet jacks and lift trucks
- Safely load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or production area
- Perform order picking and prepare items for shipment or storage
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, including OSHA standards
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update computer systems as necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Strong understanding of basic math skills for inventory management
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment
- Experience in order picking and shipping/receiving processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a physically demanding environment
- Familiarity with Hi-Lo forklifts is a plus
