What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitality Security position at Buck & Ear?
We are currently seeking Hospitality Security Guards to join us at The Buck & Ear in Steveston! Candidates must be available to work Friday and Saturday, 8:30pm until 2:30am
The ideal candidate has 2 years working in the hospitality industry, in roles such as security guard, bouncer, or another applicable role. Experience working in a nightclub, self defense training and/or security related courses are considered an asset!
Responsibilities of a Hospitality Security Guard include:
- Secure all entrances, exits and common areas of the establishment
- Greet guests upon arrival and check ID’s
- Ensure safety and wellbeing of patrons and employees
- Diffuse any guest situations/altercations, should they arise, using non-aggressive tactics and calling 911 when necessary
- Maintain a professional appearance, in accordance with the Company’s dress code
- Complete incident reports as required
- Remain alert and vigilant while on duty

- The ability to remain professional and courteous even in challenging situations
- Confidence when handling conflict situations and making quick decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions
- Must be available to work Friday and Saturday, 8:30pm until 2:30am
