The Inventory Coordinator position is responsible for the overall inventory integrity and maintenance of a store’s inventory following Ace’s inventory best practices and metrics
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Experience:
Formal retail experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs) and climbing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure data accuracy within the system to maintain adequate inventory levels
- Process Count-Correction-Sheets and make corrections in inventory system
- Monitor Outs to ensure store maintains a rate in accordance with company standards.
- “Shoot the Outs,” research variances, and make corrections as needed
- Process defectives and temporary outs
- Monitor shrinkage, recommend ways to reduce theft and breakage, and make corrections in inventory system.
- Identify obsolete inventory, determine how to best remove it, and assist store management with the liquidation process.
- Train store staff on inventory management best practices
- Collaborate with Receivers and Cashiers to help identify errors and correct them as necessary
- Print bin tags (labels) as requested
- Oversee introduction of new items into store mix
- General understanding of inventory principles and experience with retail programs
- Understand the flow of merchandise
- Experience in a retail environment either in inventory, sales, or back office
- Excellent quantitative and computer skills
- Analytical and pricing knowledge with the ability to conduct comparison analysis and make sound decisions
- Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
