Buckleguy is a small company supplying premium materials to the leather craft and accessory manufacturing market. We run an e-commerce website (www.buckleguy.com) where we sell these supplies and distribute products from a variety of vendors. We also own a factory overseas that manufacturers solid brass hardware.
Job Description
In a nut shell, we are looking for a candidate that can help us expand our line of leather craft supplies that we sell through our e-commerce website. Products include hardware, leathers, tools, machines, and more.
The project manager will be in charge of product development for new products and improving existing products based on consumer research and market needs. They will be responsible for working with current vendors in product development as well as procuring new vendor relationships.
We are looking for a candidate with a background in product development, market and consumer research, design, and vendor sourcing. Any experience in Leather Craft or other crafting categories a plus, but not required. This candidate will work with the sales, marketing, and customer service team to create a development pipeline and will then facilitate prototyping and sampling with vendors.
Ultimately, a good project manager should be highly innovative, possess the ability to problem-solve, source vendors, and work well within a team.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Market research to understand the needs of customers in order to add new products or enhance existing products.
- Collaborate with internal sales/marketing/customer service team for formulating ideas, as well as presenting new ideas for consideration.
- Manage the development process with vendors, including design phase, prototyping, and initial item set up.
- Procure new vendors via internet research, collaboration with our Hong Kong office, and other means of sourcing research.
- Determine product specifications and help create manuals, packaging, and support material for the marketing, customer service, and sales team.
Project Manager Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a product developer or in related field.
- Vendor sourcing experience within the manufacturing field.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and design prototyping.
- Creative and innovative thinking skills a must as this job revolves around ideas!
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Bachelors degree.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
