Speed Shop Manager

Responsibilities Overview:

• Bud’s Speed Shop specializing in maintenance, repair, and restoration of classic cars seeks an independent and organized Body Shop Manager.
• As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by determining client concerns and service requests, developing estimates, writing repair orders and project proposals, order parts, managing flow of information from front office to shop, managing day-to day-operations of the body shop.
• Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician, ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed/recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, including calculating and taking customer payment.
• Prepare repair orders, obtain approval signatures, and enter information into the service database system.

• Previous Body Shop Manager experience (5 years)
• Prior experience ordering and maintaining parts inventory
• Understanding of performance market, car culture, and trends of classic cars
• Prior experience managing staff members in a small business setting a plus
• Prior experience as an automotive technician a plus
• Prior experience with technical communication a plus
• Flexible, professional, and ethical work style
• Valid driver's license
