SUMMARY
Assists Production Planner functions (scheduling, forecasting) to ensure the customer’s requirements are met, inventory is maintained at optimal levels and the flow of components and finished product is maximized.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Accurately schedule daily and weekly sub-recipes and finished goods production based on customer orders and forecasts. Perform capacity studies for long-term demand versus plant capability.
· Review finished goods for customer order shortages and notify customer service, production and logistics as appropriate
· Manage the production schedule to daily, weekly, and monthly requirements so that production and purchasing have the appropriate information to produce and purchase from
· Manage process to maintain ERP system (X3) BOM and planning data, including routings, waste %’s, work centers/work groups
· Work with purchasing to insure stable component supply versus forecasted finished goods
· Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school degree or equivalent; or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
· Ability to communicate with internal clients by email, phone and fax
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Good computer skills; ERP, MRP, X3 p
· Ability to work well with others in a team environment
· Ability to handle multi tasks concurrently

REQUIRED TRAINING
This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Training is also required
on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.
