What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bottling Line and Cider Mill Operator position at Buell's Orchard?
Buell’s Orchard is hiring for several positions in our cider mill and bottling plant. Hours are 7:00 AM until completion, generally between 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Bottling Plant duties include:
Placing Bottles on Bottling Conveyor
Ensuring proper capping and coding of filled bottles
Packing filled bottles into boxes or crates
Forming boxes
Palletizing filled boxes
Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and machinery
Cider Mill duties include:
Operating forklift to load apple bins into bin dumper
Removing any unfit apples from grading table
Operating cider press, such as loading mashed fruit and removing leftover apple pomace.
Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and machinery
Candidates should be able to do the following:
Be able to stand for several hours at a time.
Perform repetitive tasks with efficiency to keep up with machinery.
Lift up to 40 pounds with frequency.
Follow direction from plant manager.
Be willing and able to pass a background test.
Special consideration will be given to candidates with forklift and packaging experience. Opportunities for advancement well qualified candidates. Compensation is between $13 and $16 with potential for more for exceptional candidates. Overtime is available. Due to the necessity to work with moving machinery, candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
