At Buena Vista Drug, we’re doing something different. We’re building a pharmacy experience for the patient as an individual, not just for another number. At our pharmacy we focus on wellness and work to empower our patients to spend more time living a healthy life so they spend less time visiting their doctors and pharmacy. We also strive to expand the practice of community pharmacy so pharmacists and technicians can practice at the top of their training. Located in Chaffee County, Colorado this position offers a great way to get involved in a rural mountain town, help improve the health of our community, and live in one of the best areas to experience and take in the beautiful Colorado mountain scenery.
We are looking for someone with part-time or full-time availability including some Saturdays. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday 9:00AM-6:00PM and Saturday 9:00AM-12:00PM.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures
2. Service and satisfy customers’ health care needs in and out of the pharmacy area
3. Maintain professional rapport with ordering physicians
4. Process prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner utilizing Pioneer Rx pharmacy system.
5. Provide vaccines, point of care tests, and state wide protocol counseling and prescribing.
6. Provide counseling and guidance to staff as needed
7. Maintain required reports
8. Ensure compliance with applicable Federal and State laws, rules and regulations
9. Perform other duties as assigned
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
