REPORTS TO (Title): SEP Program Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Program Supervisor II works under the guidance of the SEP Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their assigned program (ILS, Quest, Options, or SEP). The Program Supervisor II directly or indirectly facilitates the intake and assessment process for incoming clients, provides ongoing case oversight, ensures accurate and timely case documentation, and manages Mentor staff, Administrative support staff, and Lead staff to fulfill their job duties effectively and efficiently. The Program Supervisor performs his/her fiduciary responsibility to the organization within the ethical guidelines set forth by Build’s Core Values.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily oversight of assigned program, including, but not limited to, staff supervision, quality service delivery, completion of reports, collaboration with regional center, and management of special incident response/reportingting
- Perform intake and assessment tasks for incoming referrals from the regional center; make program recommendations; ensure Purchase of Service Authorizations reflect agreed upon service delivery terms
- Attend quarterly and annual review meetings for regional center and/or Department of Rehabilitation clients; advocate for client choice in all settings
- Conduct Quality Control spot checks with Mentor staff to ensure that services are being provided in alignment with documented goals and that eRSP is being utilized by staff to document each unit of service provided
- Develop comprehensive Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and/or Individual Habilitation Service Plans (IHSPs) for each client; oversee data collection/progress reporting by mentor staff; note barriers to the achievement of goals; ensure that client’s choices and desires for their lives are an integral part of the plan/goal development
- Ensure that client files include all required documentation at all times and are organized in a consistent manner for streamlined compliance and audit checks
- Provide real-time performance feedback to administrative and Mentor staff. Review staff time cards for accuracy and ensure that service logs and time cards match; complete annual performance reviews for all program staff
- Collaborate with other Program Supervisors to maximize efficiencies across programs, train new staff, provide important updates and announcements, work on special projects, and promote a positive and inclusive work culture
- Embrace a Person-Centered approach to service delivery that gives the client decision-making authority over the design of their own supports
- Other duties as assigned by the SEP Program Manager or the Manager of Programs
Requirements
Work Experience
• Minimum three years’ experience serving people with developmental/intellectual disabilities
• Minimum two years’ experience in a supervisorial or management role
• Demonstrated experience accessing generic community resources in the Los Angeles area
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable experience required
• Crisis Response Management Certification required (or obtain within 60-days of hire)
• Liberty Plan Certification, or equivalent required (or obtain within 60-days of hire)
• Must have current CPR/First Aid Certificate ( or obtain within 30-days of hire)
Knowledge/Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes
• Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive client and/or staff information/circumstances
• Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), and fundamental knowledge of Excel.
