Under direct supervision, operates basic saw types such as pop-up, miter, web saws to cut planks, timbers, or boards according to work orders.
- Reviews work order to determine cut(s) to be made.
- Adjusts saw for required cuts.
- Adjusts speed of saw and feed rolls.
- Stacks cut lumber after processing.
- Observes safety procedures at all times.
Opera tipos básicos de sierras como por ejemplo sierras desplegables, ingleteadoras, de red para cortar planchas, tablones o placas según las rdenes de trabajo.
- Ajustar la sierra para los cortes requeridos.
- Ajustar la velocidad de la sierra y los rodillos de alimentacin.
- Apilar la madera cortada después de procesarla.
- Respetar los procedimientos de seguridad en todo momento.
Requirements : High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). This is a entry level position where the incumbent will receive on-the-job training
o Work is performed primarily in an outdoor yard environment, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise and dust.
o Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds. o May be required to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling.
