What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager-Dallas position at BUILDING CONTROLS & SOLUTIONS?
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute annual sales plan and tactics aligned with growing a geographic territory.
- Account management, including managing existing accounts. Requires account planning monthly.
- Prospect new customers and develop existing customers.
- Thorough technical knowledge of BCS products, services and applications including ability to develop proposals in response to requests for quotation.
- Seek new market opportunities, including bid-spec work, utilizing Construct Connect (construction database)
- Drive specifications towards BC&S offerings, with assigned consulting engineers.
- Develop presentation materials for decision makers including specifying engineers, design-build contractors, and contractors describing BCS competitive advantages and value proposition.
- Team with Technical Solutions team, in building customer relationships
- Work with Technical Solutions team on customer training and calendar, supporting sales objectives.
- Utilize sales tools effectively (CRM/Hubspot, estimating team) to plan and document progress as well as increase business opportunities within accounts. Generate a high level of activity to feed the sales pipeline and manage opportunities to successfully move them through the sales cycle to close.
- Attend and present at trade shows. Participate in professional organizations to grow market.
- Travel, as needed, to support territory.
Qualifications:
- HVAC/Controls/BAS sales experiences
- Experience prospecting and maintaining accounts.
- Experience with Building Automation/Mechanical contractors and end user (Commercial) businesses.
