Position Title: Machine Operator

Reports to: Department or Shift Supervisor

With 115,000 square feet of climate-controlled working space, we maintain one of the largest and most technically up to date graphite machining facilities in the world. Our specialty is machining graphite and rigid insulation products that supply various industries, globally. This variation of industry and product application keeps us growing. First Shift ~ Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm

Second Shift ~ Monday through Thursday from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am ~ 15% Shift Premium

Third Shift ~ Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am ~ 10% Shift Premium

General Responsibilities and Function

• Set up, adjust and operate machines
• Perform quality control; follow set up sheets and instructions
• Minor program editing, when necessary
• Ability to operate CNC and manual machines
• Evaluate and perform tool changes
• Maintain cleanliness in work area
• Promote and emphasize safety at all times

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED, preferred

Analytical and numerical skills; ability to perform mathematical calculations and work with decimals/fractions

Use of basic measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)

Ability to read blueprints

Capable of standing for long periods of time

Good interpersonal skills
