Staff Accountant

BUILT is seeking an eager and knowledgeable Staff Accountant to help maintain financial procedures and confirm financial compliance through preparation of the company’s reports and statements. We are looking for someone who is analytical, willing to learn, has accounting experience, pays attention to detail, and fanatical about numbers.
Key responsibilities:
- Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
- Prepare and file tax returns
- Sales tax compliance
- Managing fixed assets
- Enter accounting related information into business logs
- Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy
- Organize and update financial records
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
- Perform monthly bank settlements
- Prepare documentation for external auditors
- Work with retailers on credit and collections
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required (or working towards degree in accounting)
- At least two years' experience in accounting or a related field
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports
- Strong understanding of US tax regulations
