What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at BullsEye Jobs?
Material Handler
Duties:
1. Load and unload steel parts on production equipment.
2. Assist in moving materials, placing materials in jigs or removing them from jigs within various areas of production as directed.
3. Operate low level production equipment with training.
4. Keep work area clean.
5. Become proficient using a fork truck. Fort truck training is provided.
6. Lift 75 pounds continuously throughout the day using proper lifting techniques.
7. On-the-job training is provided as needed.
Requirements/ General info
1. Employees must supply their own steel-toe shoes.
2. Tools, supplies, equipment, and safety gear are provided.
3. Employees may be assigned to work at one or both plants in Earlville, Iowa.
4. The normal schedule is 10-hour days, Monday-Thursday, 5:00am-3:30 pm.
5. There is the potential to work up to 20 hours of overtime per week during peak seasons.
6. No work on Sundays.
7. Pay increases based on work performance, including attendance.
8. Employees must have the physical abilities to complete the duties below
Other Expectations :
1. Dependability: Be on time and demonstrate regular shift attendance as assigned.
2. Job Performance: Complete duties quickly, efficiently, and safely.
3. Conduct: Follow worksite rules and regulations. Employees who violate worksite rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Shared employee hosuing and transportation to and from work is provided.
