Director of Finance, Category Management

The Finance Director of Category Management will be working directly with the VP of Category Management and VP of Finance for the Distribution division to provide financial leadership for the Category Management organization. This individual will oversee the financial activities of the Category Management organization which includes the Distribution Import business. The Finance Director will work closely with market leadership, operations and data teams and be responsible for the overall finance activities to support profitable growth of the organization.

This role is based in St. Louis, MO

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engages as a strategic partner to Category Management and Distribution leadership, supporting the organization in contract and strategic initiatives by providing financial insight, reviewing contracts, assessing deal structures, and advising on risks and opportunities as well as recommending actions.
• Oversees development and implementation of a robust program management process which will include monthly reconciliation and timely disbursements to individual markets.
• Partner with Category Management leadership to develop a robust contract management process.
• Provide financial accounting leadership to the Distribution Import business.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly managerial processes as related to Category Management.
• Develop comprehensive cost management process and establish pricing management organization in support of strategic business objectives.
• Assesses/defines and executes Category Management specific opportunities related to Gross Margin, Working Capital, and Operating efficiencies.
• Responsible for coordinating, preparing and presenting annual budgets.
• Lead special projects as directed.
• Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economic, Accounting or related degree. MBA preferred.
• 7 -0 years of work experience with at least 2 years in Commercial or Business Finance.
• Strategic, analytical and be comfortable to action and recommend decisions in an ambiguous environment.
• Advanced Excel skill in financial modeling, executive communication and problem-solving skills.
• PowerPoint presentation with storytelling skills
• Demonstrate process orientation and ability to establish and improve current processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
