Electro Maintenance Techician

Must be willing to work overtime and respond to call-in work. Supports the Maintenance Team to provide coverage as per the schedule provided by the Maintenance Superintendent and Maintenance Manager.

Core Functions:

1. All job duties require attention to safe operation and demonstration of safe work habits and behaviors. This includes the use of appropriate personal protective equipment for the job task.
2. All duties include general area housekeeping responsibilities.
3. Reads and interprets drawings and layouts.
4. Sets up and operates the equipment necessary to perform all functions of the craft.
5. Installs, maintains, replaces, moves, aligns or removes equipment, machines and piping or any other production or maintenance devices.
6. Installs and maintains insulation on equipment, piping, ducts and spouting.
7. Makes repairs to and checks machines and equipment for correct operation.
8. Performs electrical and mechanical operations necessary for the construction, installation, repair and operation of equipment and devices of the plant.
9. Rebuilds, repairs, replaces damaged, defective, or worn parts.
10. Does necessary carpentry and concrete work.
11. Maintains a clean and orderly work area and removes material and equipment from job site. Assists in overall plant cleanliness and housekeeping.
12. Operates Maintenance Shop tools including but not limited to drills, saws, grinders, welders, plasma cutter, oxyacetylene torch, etc.
13. Tests and repairs electrical circuits, components, or systems
14. Cuts, threads, and fits pipes.
15. Works at all areas of the plant including, indoors, outdoors, confined spaces, and
16. working at heights with the proper PPE
17. Operates fork trucks
18. Complete any and all other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
19. Abide by all company rules and policies as well as good manufacturing practices.
20. Observes all Safety and Food Safety guidelines and uses proper safety equipment at all times.
21. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Desired additional functions and activities:

1. Operation of boom lifts, man lifts, scissor lifts, etc.
2. Operation of packaging equipment

Skill/Experience Requirements:

1. 5-7years of Industrial Mechanical experience required (Food Manufacturing industry preferred).
2. Basic PC/Laptop hardware & software knowledge and experience preferred
3. LOTO training and experience required
4. Electrician Training and certification (Ark flash/High voltage).
5. Ability to read and understand SOP's, prints and manuals required
6. Good organizational and communication skills required
7. Experience as welder. Able to weld stainless and regular steel.
8. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment required
9. Able to drive a fork truck safely required
10. Must be able to proficiently read and write in English for the purposes of record keeping and safety training and processes.
11. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, good verbal and written communication skills required.

Salary range $30-$40. This role is also eligible to receive an annual incentive bonus.
