The Bunge Trainee program is an 18-months rotational program through areas of focus to develop knowledge of specific functions. Focus areas will be determined based on the candidate’s education, experience, and interest. The program entails:
- Structured learning goals, combining soft skills training, hands-on projects, and Bunge knowledge.
- Comprehensive understanding of our business through assignments with specific goals and deliverables.

Focus Area Overview:
This specific trainee role will be focused on Finance – North America Crush Value Chain.
Our North America Crush Value Chain is one of the leaders in the production of vegetable oils and meals in the North America market. We provide vegetable oils and meals to food, feed, and fuel customers across North America, and distribute protein meals to end consumers in Latin America.
As the North America Crush Value Chain Financial Trainee, you will play an important role in this exciting business through strategic and financial analysis. This position is responsible for generating insights that helps the business identify potential improvement areas and making data driven decisions. This role will support existing business financial analysis and business cases of supporting growth in the value chain.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
- 0-1 year of experience; prior internship experience strongly preferred
- Must be collaborative, results oriented and possess exceptional critical thinking skills
- Exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills
- Analytical problem-solving skills with a high level of curiosity to learn and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong excel knowledge desirable
- Proficiency in standard PC applications
- Willingness to relocate domestically and/or internationally for future growth opportunities
- Proficiency in other languages beneficial
Core Functions & Responsibilities:
A project with our group will include one or multiple of the following activities:
- Assist in providing the financial information and analysis needed to build the business’ effectiveness, profitability, and position for growth.
- Assist in providing analytical support and advice to the business’ commercial, trading and operations management teams.
- Coordinate planning / budgeting and forecasting for the business’ operations.
- Provide business unit senior management with the information needed to capitalize on growth opportunities.
