What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Bunge?
Under moderate supervision, partner with facility management and at the direction of the regional human resources manager, position performs professional level HR work to develop, implement, and administer human resources policies, programs, and procedures. This position will be responsible for executing all matters related to employee relations. Position is the first line of HR support for facility management and employees.
Essential Functions:
- Support facility management and regional HR manager by providing a full range of Human Resources services including, but not limited to, policy and procedure counsel/ implementation, staffing and selection, performance management, employee engagement, and coaching, training and development of local management and facility personnel.
- Interprets various routine HR plans, programs, policies, and procedures for employees and provides advice and recommendations to facility management. Assists in administration of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance current state, local and federal regulations, and corporate objectives.
- Maintain an awareness of workforce demographics and operational requirements. Assist regional HR leadership in developing strategies to address workforce gaps and surpluses and proactively work to assist in the optimization of talent.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Participates in candidate selection process and conducts onboarding.
- Prepares and analyzes reports relating to turnover, headcount, etc.
- Maintains confidential employee data or files and prepares/analyzes reports relating to turnover, headcount, etc.
- At the direction of Legal and Regional HR manager, assist with investigations related to policy violations, misconduct, or other circumstances that may result in disciplinary action.
Skill/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required.
- 1 plus years of related human resources experience required.
- Ability to maintain objectivity and discretion with confidential information required.
- Exceptional customer service and team building skills required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization required.
- Previous experience with ADAA, FMLA, EEOC and AAP preferred.
- MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required.
- Familiarity with SuccessFactors, ADP timekeeping and payroll systems a plus.
- Self-starter with the ability to work within a team environment
