What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment operator position at Bunzl?
The Equipment Operator will perform avariety of functions that may include receiving and processingincoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing andshipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock inthe warehouse.
Responsibilities :
- Mustoperate an industrial forklift in a safe and responsiblemanner
- Must be able to retrieve and stackproduct safety use appropriate equipment
- Utilize an on-board computer and wireless radio frequencysystem
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safework environment
- Assist other warehouseworkers in completing tasks as requested by the Warehouse Manageror immediate supervisor.
Requirements :
- Demonstrated and proven track record ofproficiency on all powered industrial vehicle (PIV) equipmentoperated in the warehouse.
- Must be able tolift heavy objects (occasionally between 40-50 lbs.) with orwithout reasonable accommodation for an entire shift.
- Overtime is required based on business demands, sometimeson short notice.
- Previous warehouse / forkliftoperation experience required, 6 months required, 2 yearspreferred.
- Must be dependable and a teamplayer.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be employed with Bunzl for 6 months and beproficient on all PIV equipment operated in thewarehouse.
Bunzl Reno Salary Rangeof $18.35-$22.35 per hour is based on experience, education andgeographic location.
