What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker (Destiny Packaging) position at Bunzl?
Destiny Packaging, is a fast-growing company in the Bunzl Agriculture Group. The Warehouse Worker will perform a variety of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately complete a product movement ticket
- Assist with cycle counts
- Stage and locate inventory in BIN locations
- Responsible for the material movement process
- Complete pick tickets, bill of lading, and verify loads
- Load and unload goods from trucks/trailers
- Move goods packed onto pallets/crates
- Must have a forklift certification or ability to obtain per OSHA standards
- Complete daily pre-trip forklift inspections
- Participate in safety meetings on a regular basis
- Unload containers (by hand)
- Follow the 5 - step methodology for a clean & organized workplace
- Overtime will be required based on business needs
- Prepare labels for shipments; return unused labels and UPC's to proper bin locations
- Assure proper counts are received from the containers Bill of Lading Manifest
- Inspect quality of shipments per Destiny's Inspection Process
- Assist Quality Department with inspections
- Change propane tank on forklifts
- Must be able to bag pallets off the bagging ramp
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required
- 2-4 years work experience in a warehouse environment
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods a plus
- Experience using a bailer, pallet wrapper, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment a plus
- Lift heavy objects 25-50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must have basic math skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must have basic computer skills
- Strong team building and communication skills
