SCHOOL BASED BEHAVIORAL TECHNICAN
CHARITON COUNTY SCHOOLS (Salisbury, Missouri area)
Job overview:
The School Based Behavior Technician supports clients receiving telehealth appointments in the school setting. Behavioral technicians are responsible for assisting clients to and from therapy appointments in the school. Likewise, the Behavioral technician will sit with the client during the session as directed by the clinical treatment team.
What you'll get to do:
- Provide care coordination of school based therapy which includes escorting clients to and from scheduled telehealth appointments at the school, troubleshooting any technical issues for the client, and providing general direction for clients.
- Provide assistance, as needed, during therapy sessions at the school as directed by the clinical treatment team.
- Document client care interactions.
- Implement guidelines, procedures, and program rules accurately and consistently.
- Encourage individuals to develop positive relationships within the program with all providers.
- Engages in any other activities that meet those needs and goals.
- According to Burrell guidelines, participates in clients' staffing to identify problems and establish goals and objectives for treatment.
- Exercise discretion and judgment when participating in emergency services to provide rapid aid in cases of emotional crisis.
- Provides and/or coordinates a comprehensive follow-up to all clients for whom he/she has been responsible, including follow-up for missed appointments and conducting outreach and engagement as needed.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Must be at least 21 years of age and have at least a High School Diploma or GED with experience in Human Services or related field.
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have or obtain within two (2) weeks of employment a valid Driver’s License. Must have use of personal auto for occasional transport of clients. Must have auto liability insurance including uninsured motorist coverage.
