What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bin Repair and Welder position at Burrtec?

We have the following position at our Fontana Hauling division:
Bin Repair/Welder
Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs arc welding activities on bins and roll-off containers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Inspect containers and metal bins to determine feasibility of repair.
- Replace wheel assembly and or plastic lids on plastic containers and uses oxy-acetylene cutting torch to remove damaged wheel assemblies.
- Be assigned to clean containers and yard/shop area as needed.
- Help maintain appropriate inventory Level of bins and roll-off containers and barrels.
- Follow safe work practices and uses appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment).
- Prioritize workload according to operational needs.
- Assist with road calls by performing oil spill clean-ups in the field.
- Cleaning and repairing metal refuse bins and plastic trash containers.
- Help maintain yard clean and organized and performs other yard related operational tasks as directed by supervisors.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to use arc welder or wire feed welder to attach new wheel assemblies.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in all facets of arc welding, oxy fuel procedures is required.
- Familiarity with safe work practices and welding procedures.
PHYSICAL:
- Must have ability to lift up to 100 lbs. on an intermittent basis.
- Must have ability to stand, bend, squat and kneel.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- Will be exposed to moderate noise and dust levels.
