Business Analyst/Programmer

Job Description

The person in this position is responsible for performing tasks in support of the technical needs of the organization. This may involve general PC support and/or troubleshooting, script development and troubleshooting, and software support for existing and new customers of the company.

Duties and responsibilities

• Customer Support

· Will be providing technical support of our customers with respect to software, hardware and other applications

· Installation of software, software updates, scripting updates, etc.

· Provide training to our customers as required

o Remote training

o On-site as needed/requested

o Internal training as needed

· Provide support of in-house systems, computers, software, and other duties in the corporate office

· Assist the BSC Conversion Services department as needed

· May work with other company staff to assess requirements for the completion of job specifications, responses to Requests for Proposals, etc.

· May meet with customer and/or prospects to determine project needs and/or specifications

· Provide demonstrations to customers and/or prospects

• Must represent the company in a positive, professional manner

· Must be out-going & people-oriented

· Follows all safety regulations and policies

Qualifications

• Must be detail oriented and be an “analytical thinker”
• Must possess and maintain a clean driving record
• Must pass a thorough background check
• Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 7:30 – 4:30
• On occasion, may require early-morning start and late-evening finish
• On occasion, may be required to travel out-of-town on overnight trips
• Experience preferred in a similar position
• Must possess exceptional communication skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes and/or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, lift, sit, etc. The employee may also be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee will often be required to lift and/or move up to 50-100 pounds and walk up and down stairs unattended. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, with ability to frequently adjust focus.
