The Butler Eagle is seeking an experienced writer/reporter who will seek out the news that will make a difference in Butler County residents' lives, shed light on problems and solutions within the community and report in a manner that holds people in power accountable.
The family-owned morning newspaper, located in Western Pennsylvania just outside Pittsburgh, needs a reporter who will tell the stories of our residents, be their eyes at government meetings and cover local happenings.
Our team of eight reporters takes time to check the legitimacy of news, get both sides & aims every day to tell the story of Butler County well. We create content -- articles, photos and videos -- for the Eagle's website, print publications and social media.
In addition to being a wordsmith, the position requires strong people skills, an ability to research topics, an awareness of social media awareness and the experiment as the Eagle develops its video, audio and photographic platforms.

Salary : $31,700 - $40,200
