Job Posting for Payroll Manager
Seeking experienced payroll manager that can lead and manage multiple payroll engagements.Individuals will have the opportunity of working with a diverse group of large and family-owned businesses. Professionalism and customer centered service are of the utmost importance.
We specialize in small business bookkeeping and tax. We work with a wide variety of companies across several industries in Texas and New Mexico. The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of small business accounting, along with a desire to learn and grow with the company.
Duties:
- Supervise the work of payroll staff employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems.- Resolve client complaints or answer clients' questions regarding policies and procedures.- Provide payroll staff employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.- Review records or reports pertaining to activities such as payroll to verify details, monitor work activities, or evaluate performance.- Discuss job performance problems with payroll staff employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems.- Prepare and issue work schedules, deadlines, and duty assignments for payroll staff.- Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to payroll staff.- Train or instruct payroll staff employees in job duties or company policies or arrange for training to be provided.
Qualifications:
- Payroll and Managerial experience required- QuickBooks Online and Desktop software experience preferred but not required.- Accounting degree preferred.- Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook.- Ability to multitask with accuracy and transition between the books of multiple businesses each day.- Ability to work with efficiency and accuracy under tight deadline.- Must be an independent worker with exceptional attention to detail who can work with a team.
