Button Holdings is seeking a CFO to provide the necessary financial acumen and leadership to our growing family of companies. Fourth generation ownership has made a conscience decision to expand our current businesses rapidly while seeking and exploiting opportunities in new markets, selling new products and services to new customer bases. We are looking for an individual with M&A experience, skilled in conducting proformas and analysis for projects of all sizes and presenting to the CEO and ownership in an efficient manner. The CFO will lead the team that produces accurate and on time financial reporting, operational and strategic analysis, and a dashboard of metrics and KPIs useful in daily decision making. This critical hire will lead our fundraising efforts, having a direct impact on our growth and ongoing profitability. It is the final remaining C level hire to fortify an updated leadership and management team. This role will provide the fuel required to meet our growth targets.
Position Description: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Goal: The chief financial officer is the senior manager overseeing the financial condition of the Holding Company including each of the businesses under that umbrella. The CFO assumes the highest level of fiscal responsibility and is charged with providingleadership and guidance to the organization to maximize profitability while mitigating risk. The CFO will manage day-to-day relationships with our lenders and will strategically manage all fundraising efforts in support of our growth. This role will be responsible for the developmentof financial strategiesthat support the operational strategyand for delivering metrics tied to strategic goals. The CFO will provide ongoing redevelopment and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve the value of company assets. The finance team will be responsible for producing accurate and timely financial reports as well as key performance indicators. Principal accountabilities are:
Planning Responsibilities
1. Assist in the development and implementation of our strategic plan and supporting tactical initiatives
2. Develop financial and tax strategies
3. Manage the budget processfor operating entities including the capital budget process
4. Develop and reportperformance measures that support the company's strategic direction
Operations
1. Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
2. Maintain productive relationshipswith all members of the management team
3. Manage the accounting and tax departments
4. Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies (As we acquire)
5. Implement operational best practices
Financial Reporting
1. Manage all financial reporting, accurately and on time
2. Build dashboards that report KPIs for the management team
3. Personally, review and approve all state and federal filings
4. Report financial results to the board of directors
Risk Management
1. Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile including credit
2. Develop risk management committee (RMC) to conduct monthly reviews of our key risk management indicators
3. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
4. Report circumstances creating risk immediately as discovered to the CEO and RMC committee
5. Prepare and monitor cash controls and cash forecasts
6. Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
Funding
1. Prepare and keep up to date our fundraising packet and presentations
2. Monitor capital markets and suggest financing structures that are the best fit for the Holding Company
3. Arrange for debt and equity financingas needed
4. Banking negations and refinancing projects
Third Parties
1. Develop, maintain, and manageallbanking and lender relationships
2. Make a consistent and ongoing effort to increase unsecured credit lines with our suppliers and manage all security instruments related to supply
3. Manage any third parties to which accounting, credit, or finance functions have been outsourced
4. Provide oversight to the individuals managing our accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections processes
Desired Qualifications: The candidate for chief financial officer should have a master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience. Investment banking experience, M&A, and capital market familiarity preferred. Ten plus years of experience with a mid-sized to large organization or division of a large organization greatly preferred. Direct experience in the energy industry preferred. Should have experience interacting with an executive team and possess excellent written and verbalcommunication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in Finance and the Certified Public Accountantor Certified Management Accountantdesignations
