We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain/Procurement Intern for Summer 2025. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals on key projects related to supply chain management, procurement strategies, and process optimization in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Term: Summer 2025 (May-August)
Location:
Barry-Wehmiller has several locations across the United States within our various divisions. As a Supply Chain/Procurement Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to support BW Papersystems, BW Converting, or BW Packaging, depending on the role and location.
Potential geographic locations include Baltimore, MD, Phillips, WI, Sheboygan, WI, Green Bay, WI, Duncan, SC, or Brooklyn Park, MN.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of procurement strategies, supplier negotiations, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, to ensure timely and efficient sourcing of materials and components.
- Support the analysis of supply chain data to optimize inventory management, demand forecasting, and lead time reduction.
- Participate in supplier performance evaluations, contract management, and supplier relationship management activities.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating supply chain risks to ensure continuous production flow.
- Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities, key performance indicators (KPIs), and supply chain performance.
- Contribute to process improvements and initiatives focused on increasing operational efficiency and reducing supply chain costs.
- 2 years of college coursework completed in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large data sets.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
