SUMMARY:
We are currently hiring for a 1st Shift Quality Weld Lab Technician. If you meet these requirements, and believe you have a passion for making a real difference in an industry, we would like to hear from you.
JOB RESPONSIBILITITES:
Receiving Inspection-
Primary responsibilities will be receiving and documenting incoming parts receipt, verifying status of needed inspection, pulling samples for lab test and/or performing easy dimensional checks at Receiving area (Mics or calipers), documenting inspection results, and approving product (green tagging) for warehouse to move to staging areas on shelving. (Will be trained as necessary)
Laboratory testing-
Includes dimensional, cleanliness, and metallography. Will be using mics, calipers, height gauges, profile gauges, tensile testers and other equipment for incoming receiving and lab inspections and/or chemicals, desiccant, oven, weigh scale, sample jars, trays, test beakers, microscopes, polishers, etc. for testing of contamination and steel structure
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (R)
- Ability to use dimensional hand gauges (P)
- Ability to read drawings (R)
- Attention to detail (R)
- Prior Inspection experience (P)
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills (R)
- Experience with the tasks and culture change associated with start-up facilities (P)
- Computer skills in Excel, Power Point and Word (R)
- Prior experience in Quality function (P)
