JOB DESCRIPTION
- Reads blueprints
- Uses measuring tape, levels, squares for installations based on Engineering documentation (metric is preferred)
- Use of standard hand tools where applicable
- Use of power tools such as electric and pneumatic tools where applicable
- Installation and removal of fasteners such as nuts, bolts and rivets
- Knowledge of paint booth preparation for spraying applications
- Must have experience using consumables such as (various grits of sand papers, degreasers, Proper cleaning towels ext.)
- Responsible for taping, masking, sanding, buffing and other prepare for paint work as instructed
- Responsible for preparing unit for paint: sanding, blocking, applying putty and visual inspection
- Performs bodywork (filling, blocking, bodyline creating/moving)
- Must know how to mix and apply primers, polyurethane and epoxy
- Disassembles and reassembles body components
- Performs dent repair using filler
- Performs metal finish processes
- Mixing of Bondo required, Fiber Glass preferred
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Demonstrates required skills
- Adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Balances team and individual responsibilities
- Changes approach or method to best fit the situation
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Proper use of PPE and observes safety and security procedures
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.), or equivalent from two-year College, or technical school, or two years to four year related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
