General Description
In the role of Director Asset Care, you will plan and execute Asset Care strategy for the enterprise. You will oversee optimal functioning, continual upgrading and acquisition of equipment/technology while supporting capital projects. You will have oversight of assets from Raw Material Receipt to Finishing Operations and assist the plants in performance execution by analyzing problems, formulating a practical solution, and procuring/installing necessary components to advance and optimize the operation. This position reports to the Director of Operations and works closely with the Maintenance Managers, Planners, Skilled Trades, and Operators.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of Asset Care strategy across the enterprise.
- Drives functional problem solving, equipment improvement, process, and technology improvement.
- Develops & maintains OEM relationships.
- Manages both ESL/Aseptic sites to ensure optimal performance of operations.
- Coordinate engineering requirements through capital planning.
- Manages data and analytics related to department priorities and related systems.
- Responsible for the safety and quality of our products by adhering to all rules, regulations, policies, programs.
- Manage improvements in equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability that optimized asset life cycle costs by utilizing proven improvement methodologies, systems, and processes
- Provide technical leadership to the sites to ensure maximum possible equipment reliability.
- Provide reliability process development, coaching, and training.
Essential Knowledge, Skills:
- Possess a proven track record of achievement in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable evidence of driving World Class Supply Initiatives to deliver on challenging objectives.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Maintenance or equivalent experience (4 years) in an Engineering/Maintenance leadership/managerial position in a manufacturing environment.
- It will be a plus if you also have the following certifications: CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) and or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- You have experience with budgets.
- You have thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and project management.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related industrial science programs preferred
Performance Standards:
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to provide program continuity and visibility.
- Responsible for reporting to work at scheduled times and communicating tardiness and absences with the assigned Supervisor/Manager prior to the occurrence.
- Responsible for reporting to work in a condition to work.
- Responsible for being well-groomed and always dressed in a business-and position-appropriate attire including ensuring compliance with GMP dress code standards.
- Comply with performance criteria, standards of conduct as contained in company policy, employment procedures and responsibilities as described in the company handbook.
- Always maintain a safe work environment and immediately report and take appropriate action to correct a safety concern.
- Responsible for completing all assigned tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Work Schedule:
- Requires morning, afternoon, and overnight availability any day of the week based on assigned shift.
- Requests to be scheduled off for a specific day require advance notification and approval by Supervisor/Manager.
- Salaried: Generally scheduled for 40 hours; more hours may be required based on the needs of the business.
Environmental Concerns:
- Normally protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions does exist.
- May be subject to exposure to ingredients used in the manufacture of food products including allergens.
- May be subject to exposure to chemicals involved in the manufacture and sanitation of a food processing facility.
- May be required to enter confined areas for inspection, testing, and related duties.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility including but not limited to office, production, and warehouse environments. Including the outside perimeter of the building.
- Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions.
- Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with meal break.
- Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and move objects exceeding 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations.
- Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions.
- Travel between manufacturing and distribution facilities (CNY region) is required.
