Project Coordinator

Job Purpose

Plan, schedule, and prepare production order details; compile and prepare material requirement orders for inventory; issue requisitions for new and special materials; revise and reschedule orders when necessary; establish manufacturing lead times; collaborate with inventory control, purchasing, engineering to coordinate schedules; prepare reports; maintain files and records.

Job Duties for Production Coordinator

• Review production schedule, work orders, and be consistently well versed with product and production requirements.
• Organize and prioritize work orders according to schedule. Create work area schedules and communicate to departments
• Oversee staging of work tickets in each area, ensure exceptions are addressed.
• Ensure that work orders are completed properly and entered in the Sage system.
• Compile reports regarding work progress and weekly work ticket schedules.
• Coordinate parts in inventory to finish goods.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory counts and reorder quantities.
• Coordinate with shop when materials come in.
• Coordinate with shop on painting and galvanizing.
• Generate production reports and analyze as appropriate
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications for Production Coordinator

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills, leadership skills, negotiation skills, and advanced knowledge in various production aspects.
• Timekeeping for functional areas in the shop for production manager
• High School diploma, some college, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or production coordination.
• Experience with ERP software or Sage 50 required
