This Job is Hybrid in NYC. Looking for someone with Strategy Analyst Experience.
Role is at the Investment Professional level, but looking ideally looking for a Strategy Analyst title coming out the consulting world.
Title = Investment Analyst – but need to hire someone more junior looking to grow with upside (someone with a Strategy Analyst title at an Advisory firm (Delotte, FTI Consulting, EY Strategy & Transactions) - modeling skills on excel are necessary
Asset Management has 2 insurance related portfolios:
1. Venture Fund – fund 1 raised, fund 2 prepared to raise 250mm – this fund holds money from partners which they hold to pay off claims/premiums, and try to produce a return above and beyond those obligations.
2. General Account – premiums/profits from partners are invested back into the General Account to try and produce returns.

MS is a P&C program carrier focused on providing services to leading MGAs, distributors and other insurance companies. The firm is broadly licensed, well capitalized, and led by industry professionals with over 400 years of combined experience.
In addition to traditional program relationships, supports transformers and ILS partnership arrangements. We also retain risk on selected programs.
We are looking for an energetic, well-versed Investment Analyst who is looking for the opportunity to join a well-funded insurance “start-up” that is writing both admitted and non-admitted business in 50 states. You will join an incredibly talented and experienced operating team, be instrumental in growing our business and be appropriately rewarded.
The Investment Analyst will be responsible for helping to manage the day-to-day operations of the asset management department. This will include managing and monitoring the General Account as well as the Venture Capital portfolio. More detailed responsibilities include:
• Making recommended changes to the investment portfolio
• Performing due diligence on investment opportunities
• Financial modeling
• Preparing marketing materials
• Interfacing with current or prospective investors
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• College degree in business; preferably Finance
• Investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or venture capital experience
• Strong knowledge of traditional and alternative asset classes
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent communications skills
• Expertise with the Microsoft suite of products; specifically Excel and PowerPoint
