Responsibilities
Strong control of cash flow is of critical importance, and the Credit Manager is vital to managing our cash flow. The role of Credit Manager is to provide the final phase of customer service to every single shipment.
Daily responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a personalized rapport with all clients that is positive, professional, and courteous at all times.
- Continually monitor receivable balances and communicate with clients on an individual and personalized basis.
- Process incoming payments and post to the accounting system.
- Review new client credit applications, evaluate risk, and make credit terms recommendations to managers.
- Analyze payment trends on a client -by- client basis, evaluate risk, and make recommendations for revaluation of credit terms.
- Monitor internal adherence to company invoicing and payment policies.
- Reports directly to CFO.
Work Environment
You’ll work in an open office environment and communicate with clients and other C J team members by email, phone, and fax. The ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks is vital. You’ll use a computer for data entry, email communications, document management, and research. During your training period you’ll be closely supervised, but as you gain experience and training, you’ll ultimately be expected to manage your workload independently. You will be working in a supportive environment where questions are encouraged, and experienced team members are always available to assist.
Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing. You’ll be communicating with clients and other C J team members every day, and clarity is vital.
Exceptional attention to detail. Communications with clients and other C J team members must always be easily understood.
Strong organizational skills. You will be managing communications with a large number of clients, and answer Client inquiries promptly is required.
Data entry with high level of accuracy. Posting payments to client’s accounts must always be accurate.
Maintain a positive, professional attitude when interacting with clients and other C J team members, especially in stressful situations. Our exceptional customer service sets us apart and our clients trust us to be the calm at the center of the storm.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. You will be analyzing payment trends on a regular basis, and spreadsheets are one of your most powerful tools.
