Lead Technician

Lawn Care TechniciansCompany Policy and Procedures:

• Understand and bide by company procedures
• Learn procedures through instructions and examples
• Arrive on time and ready to work by 7am
• Demonstrate good attendance/scheduling days off

Performance/Production:

• Practice procedures taught by foreman
• Remain productive after instructions
• Learn daily routine

Physical Skills:

• Know basic horticulture skiles (IE planting, staking, mulching)
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds or more and performing vigorous and physical labor

Human Relations:

• Maintain a positive attitude and outlook toward work performed
• Gain and give acceptance and respect of coworkers
• Work well as a team

Equipment and Company Property:

• Know proper equipment operations
• Grease and check fluids of all equipment
• Operate equipment in the safest manner possible
• Have tools, supplies, and equipment ready for that day
• Keep truck and equipment fueled and cleaned daily
• Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment

Quality:

• Learn our standard of quality

Safety:

• Demonstrate the safe operation of tools and equipment
• Use required safety equipment and PPE
• Conduct your duties in a manner that does not harm or disrupt the customers property

Achievements Required to Proceed to The Next Level:

• Complete field tests
• Take written test on driving knowledge
• Take written test on field procedures
• Take written test on company policy & procedures
• Earn at least 40 education points per year or on average 4 points per month

Essential Functions:

The incumbent must be:

• Capable of learning and developing skills and master functions of physical and organized nature
• Able to maintain a driver's license and insurability
• Care for grass, trees, plants, and hedges by mowing, pruning, or trimming as needed
• Extract and dispose of invasive plants and weeds
• Clearing of minor trash and dumping appropriately
• Informing your line manager of equipment maintenance or damages
• Storing equipment and supplies properly

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Lawn care maintenance: 2 years (Required)
