Job Summary:
The Portable Service Route Driver operates a company service truck and drives to various locations to service/pump/clean portable restrooms and/or holding tanks. Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Unloading in-bound shipments of portable restrooms
- Loading out-bound shipments of portable restrooms
- Using a forklift to load a hauling trailer.
- Organizing and staging portable restrooms in a parking lot setting
- Picking, pulling, and staging portable restrooms for delivery
- Basic customer interaction during delivery, pickup and/or route service
- Servicing and inspecting portable restrooms on customer sites—commercial, industrial, and residential.
- Reading and interpreting delivery and pickup paperwork
- Completing and submitting paperwork daily
- Cleaning and repairing units in prep shop.
- Maintaining (clean and orderly) yard and prep shop areas
- Operating a forklift as (we will train you) with proper certification.
- Willing to follow all safety procedures and practice safe work habits.
- Candidates must be able to manage the frequent use of a lift gate and use hand carts while “moving,” “pushing,” “pulling,” “tilting,” and “walking” portable restroom units into customer’s desired placement area. Candidates must also be proficient with reading, writing, and basic math skills.
- Candidates (when not driving) responsible for general labor around facility which may include cleaning, repairing, staging, loading, and unloading portable restroom units to various jobs.
- THE ABILITY TO OPERATE A 24-FT NON-CDL STRAIGHT FLATBED TRUCK WITH LIFT GATE IS A PLUS.
Education and Experience:
Must pass background check and drug screen
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
1 year Driving experience
Random drug testing and valid DOT medical card, for which we pay.
Minimum 21 years of age.
Days/Hours: May vary, Monday-Friday, depending on time of year. Hours are typically 7 am to 4 pm (or until day’s work assignment is finished). A rotating weekend on-call schedule among employees. Must be flexible to work weekends.
·Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift up to 75-100 pounds.
· Must be able to work in all types of weather.
· Must be able to stretch, pull, climb, and crawl as required to access units.
· Able to remain focused and alert while driving for extended periods of time.
· Able to handle strong odors.
