What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer Team Lead position at C-Serv?

We are looking for dedicated and capable Team Leads to join our team and help us efficiently complete projects while making happy customers.
THIS IS A HANDS ON POSITION. The best fit will be someone with varied experience. Driving box trucks is required as is loading them, material handling and staging. Once product is staged effectively, then it is time to assemble and install. Typically, there are 1-15 people working on a team here. We are looking for the right fit to do the work when slow but who is also able to distribute tasks and oversee the work of 1-7 people when necessary. The right person has a leader mindset and a very strong work ethic.
Daily tasks -
- Check your assigned crew, equipment, and product
- Confirm you have all necessary product to complete you job. Inspect for obvious damage
- Go over scope of job and plan for completion with ops management
- Ensure safety is top of mind for all team members
- Load and unload truck safely, detrash product
- Escalate issues calmly and effectively per process
- Client facing paperwork and internal tracking of paperwork for time, equipment and product assigned. You are the onsite representative of the company.
- Dispose of packaging per standard procedure
- Return paperwork - returned equipment staged appropriately
- Report issues with vehicles or equipment assigned to your team
As scheduled tasks -
- Learn, teach, and oversee product handling standards in the truck and field (including transportation, detrashing, and staging)
- Learn, teach and implement efficiency concepts including assembly line efficiencies
- Prebuild items in the warehouse to simplify field jobs
- Evaluate and offer suggestions to optimize operations for efficiency and communication
- Provide the necessary support to our operations and warehouse teams
- Steam clean cubicle panels and chairs in the warehouse
Qualifications:
- 2 years Team leadership experience (preferably in various roles)
- An internal desire to keep an organized and clean workspace (a little extra TLC in the team never hurt a job site)
- Excellent communication skills are critical to this role's success. We need to know what is going on and when you need help or guidance
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- 24' box truck driving experience required
- Strong organization and prioritizing skills. There is nothing we can't accomplish if we work together and put our minds to it.
- Intermediate to advanced level of knowledge and experience working with hand tools and power tools
Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as needed.
- Ability to work in environment on concrete flooring and in varying temperatures
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly
- Must have your own tools (basic tools - ~$300-500 if you have no tools)
- Valid Driver's License for 3 years or more
- Ability to be insured by our insurance carrier
- Flexibility to various schedule shifts
- Education - HS Diploma or GED
- Must speak and write English. Some Spanish would be great but not required.
