The HRIS Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining HR system interfaces. They will function as the technical subject matter expert for HR applications such as Kronos, Workday and others. As the SME for HR systems, they will work closely with IT and other teams on projects and serve as a technical representative for the HR Department. This position supports system upgrades, patches, testing, and other projects as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the tier-two escalation technical resource/support for HRIS activities includes but not limited to end user training, system troubleshooting, and report analysis for the HRIS System, Time Keeping System, Learning Management System and Applicant Tracking System.
- Research and identify root causes of data issues.
- Propose new or revised processes to prevent user or data issues from recurring.
- Define requirements for installing and improving related systems and determine appropriate time for implementation of system modifications or upgrades.
- Must be able to perform technical tasks including analysis, design, coding, debugging and implementation of HRIS applications and associated integrations.
- Serve as HR liaison to IT.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or business-related field required.
- Previous technical support, upgrade and implementation experience required.
- Previous experience with development and reporting tools is required.
- Experience as a developer in a production environment is required.
- Experience with adhering to standard IT practices such as migration processes, change management and unit testing required.
- Excellent human relations, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Must have the ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment and manage multiple projects and initiatives at the same time.
- PREFERRED
- A strong working knowledge of HR data and processes is preferred.
- Current or previous experience with Workday, Kronos or other HR systems preferred.
- Experience with Workday Integrations strongly preferred.
