Summary:
To provide plumbing services in a variety of residential and light commercial applications.
Preferred Experiences/Certifications for Plumbing Service Tech:
- 2 or more years of plumbing experience
- OSHA10 Safety Certification, or willingness to obtain one within 30 days.
- Must have excellent communication skills with customers and co-workers
- Excellent attention to detail and motivated
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be well-groomed, drug-free and able to pass a criminal background check
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Plumbing Service Tech:
- Conduct daily safety briefings
- Maintain safe working conditions at all times
- Maintain condition, functionality and use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times
- Assemble several different types of piping using fittings, clamps, cement, glue, soldering, brazing or welding equipment
- Install, or repair, drain lines, water lines, gas lines and air lines
- Install piping of several types, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers, water heaters, fixtures such as faucets, sinks, toilets, and urinals using hand or power tools and equipment
- Keep records of work assignments and notes pertaining to jobs
- Install new, maintain, or repair plumbing, including clearing clogged sewer lines, use camera on sewer lines and other technology
- Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, and or, destinations
- Measure, cut, and or thread pipe
