Part-time English Tutor

C2 Education of Montvale is currently recruiting English teachers with experience and interest working with students in K-12. Students range from remedial to advanced with personalized plans in place for each student. Ability to teach AP-level courses a plus. Comfort with Elementary/Middle School students also great!

Note: Candidates must be willing to work in our physical location. CDC guidelines are exceeded in center.

Past teaching experience encouraged, but not required.

All candidates must complete a qualifying exam prior to interviewing and score in the top 5%. Qualifying exam includes Reading/Writing content through high school level. Candidates can choose their area of focus.

Scheduling is flexible with most teachers working around 20 hours. More hours are available based on your individual availability. Candidates will have the opportunity to gain additional hours through virtual teaching as well.

The ideal candidate will:

· Be available in the evenings and weekends to work with students during after school hours

· Be available for 2 – 3 days per week to work physically in the center with a personal laptop available

· Be able to work using a laptop computer with working microphone and webcam (If working from home, home setting must allow for quiet, uninterrupted working hours and a clean, professional background)

· Have experience with G-Suite and video conferencing software is a plus

· Be comfortable with navigating digital platforms

· Have a completed and conferred Bachelor's Degree

· Have an enthusiasm for working with different types of students

· Successfully complete a qualifying exam in areas you wish to teach

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Everyone in the building must wear masks. Face shields are available to staff upon request. Minimum 3’ social distancing at all desks. Extended time between sessions for sanitizing. Temperature screenings at the door.
