Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems in various settings. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret drawings/schematics.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all OSHA, MSHA, and site specific safety regulations.
- Perform installation, relocation or assembly of industrial machinery and equipment
- Fabricate and Install piping systems according to blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Maintain and repair existing piping systems as needed
- Maintains specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage.
- Ability to travel with short notice for extended durations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate well with supervisors, co-workers, and clients
- Must be able to demonstrate journeyman level pipefitter knowledge, math, measurements & take-offs
- Install, assemble, and fabricate pipes according to specifications and codes standards
- Ability to identify and select the appropriate tools, material, and equipment necessary to perform tasks
- Perform rigging and lifting tasks to position pipes in place
- Experience using power tools for pipe cutting, threading, and bending
- High level expertise of the standard methods, practices, materials, tools and equipment of the industrial pipefitting trade.
- Ability to interpret drawings, P&ID’s, manufacturer's specifications, and other technical plans
- knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the trade and work sites
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle items weighing up to 50 pound frequently
- Ability to work at heights above 100’ in elevation
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience as a pipefitter
- Technical training or welding experience is strongly preferred
- NCCER certifications or equivalent in pipefitting preferred
- Proficient in multiple welding processes preferred
