DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Provides mechanical maintenance on gasketed Plate Heat exchangers Startup and shut down equipment in accordance to company and customer safety procedure in line with OSHA requirements. Prepares expense reports and written service reports for work performed on each job no later than two weeks of job completion Create job time and expense reports, Concur expense reports, and payroll reports required for all Field Service team members. Obtain Signed Time Summary sheets from the customer upon completion of job. KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES: Safety – work safely and following all EH&S policies First run yield issues (productivity - amount of rework) Completing jobs within standard times End result high quality output according to company standards Meeting acknowledged delivery times EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED. Two years hands-on, mechanical experience that includes solid mechanical skills and technical aptitude Ability to communicate to the customers the Operational and Safety parameters for Alfa Laval equipment Capable of working in a team as well as handling individual responsibilities Must have basic PC utilization skills for word, excel Ability to learn and use systems required for the administration of service and expense reports Capable of lifting 85 pounds and performing tasks requiring physical strength (climbing, sitting, kneeling or standing for extended periods, equipment/tool use) Perform jobs in line with OHSA requirements Complete established safety training programs Capable of handling exposure to heat, cold, noise, various types of facility, and levels of cleanliness Requires the ability to drive a company vehicle, and have a valid driver’s license. PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Physical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment and/or motor vehicle use): Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. as required Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure): Typical shop environment and machinery – concrete floors.
