The Packaging Lead is responsible for managing the packaging for the company’s products. Ideal candidates bring a keen attention to detail and accuracy, regarding packaging and labeling processes:
In this role you will...
- Directly supervise assigned technicians, with assistance and instruction from upper management.
- Collaborate with Packaging Manager, and Packaging Supervisor on how product will be packaged.
- Regularly communicate production schedule and prioritization to packaging technicians; communicate packaging schedule to ensure sticker production aligns.
- Ensure all packages are labeled and identified correctly; implement corrective actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Manage weighing and recording of all product and input data into METRC; pass all product to the inventory department.
- Print compliance labels for production batches and organize tags; covert product in METRC to ensure accuracy prior to product departure.
- Maintain electronic database with production batch information.
- Assist with day to day packaging of products.
- Supervisor and check on work progress of technician’s working in the inventory department to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure accurate count of all necessary tools and packaging supplies are on hand or being ordered.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness of all packaging equipment and production areas; ensure sanitation practices concerning the handling of products.
- Maintain compliance with local and state regulations, company policies and SOPs for packaging of products.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 years working in a packaging or inventory related role or in a production environment.
- Ability to use and manage various industry related software’s; experience using METRC preferred.
- Display good judgment in the face of changing priorities with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks, strong decision-making capabilities.
- Working knowledge of safety and security requirements; willingness to learn state and local laws pertaining to medical and recreational cannabis
- Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
- High attention to detail, and experience inputting and reporting on high volumes of data.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with regulating bodies.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationship with internal and external contacts.
- Excellent organization skills, ability to develop and implement operational best practices.

- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to obtain & maintain required state licenses based on work location - MUST OBTAIN AGENT ID.
