The Cash Management Specialist prepares, analyzes, and verifies financial documents using accepted accounting principles and procedures. This position prepares general accounting journals, cash application transactions, bank account balancing, and general ledger reconciliations.
What you will do to contribute to the company's success
- Balances bank account activity and journalizes accounts receivable transactions to the general ledger in Oracle.
- Schedules ACH/Wire disbursements and records the transactions via journal entry to the general ledger.
- Researches and provides support as needed in response to interoffice inquiries..
- Assists with applying credit for failed/invalid payments and applies debits for returned payments in the Singleview billing system.
- Prepares customer refund file and maintains a database of unclaimed property.
- Verifies payment files are received and processed. Prepares allocation entries to record bank/payment processing fees.
- Prepares and processes miscellaneous check deposits at corporate office
- Takes on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting
- 3 Years’ or more experience with Accounts Receivable/cash applications
- Journal entry preparation
- Account reconciliation experience
- Strong attention to details and analytical skills
- A self-starter with sound problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Proficient 10 key ability
- Ability to work with a team
- Proficient mathematical skills
- Must be detail-oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Strong organization skills
- Prepares and processes miscellaneous check deposits at corporate office.
