Abaco seeks a Business Analyst/ Program Control Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and manage data required for developing project cost reports
- Report detailed information, analyze financial data in support of project cost/schedule status and follow established procedures while contributing to the completion of organizational projects and goals
- Develop and analyze monthly project cost reporting, and make recommendations as needed
- Perform financial risk assessments to identify/mitigate cost risks.
- Ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing the preparation of expenditure projections.
- Incorporates contractual changes into schedules by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract costs and schedule baselines.
- Develop annual program budgets in coordination with Program Management and the Finance Manager.
- Creates templates and processes necessary to facilitate gathering of budget inputs from multiple sources
- Implement financial policies, develop and manage cost/schedule baseline data analysis
- Support of customer reporting requirements as requested
- Develop estimates-to-completion, estimates-at-completion, and burn rate analyses
- Analyze profitability for contracts and prepare profit models, track project funding
- Participate in the planning, tracking, and reporting of projects of varying contract types, sizes, complexity, and levels of risk: Cost Plus, T&M, and FFP
- Attend formal and informal program meetings/reviews as required
- Work independently and contribute to an integrated team through statistical reporting, analysis, and estimates
- Present written and verbal reports of financial analysis to management
- Interface with the project managers, directors, finance manager, and C-suite level as needed.
- Provide recommendations for financial plans and forecast future requirements
- Participates in the development of solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity
- Serves as a backup to perform payroll and other occasional bookkeeping functions, as needed
Business Analyst
- Provides support for the formulation of systems and/or process scope and objectives relative to the business and industry requirements.
- Serves as budget analyst, conducts cost estimates, and rough order of magnitude calculations.
- Determines operational objectives by studying business strategies and functions; gathering information; evaluating outputs.
- Analyzes and/or develops business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing and/or systems.
- Provides support for writing and/or editing documents such as operational/technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications.
- Communicate operational and/or technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences clearly and effectively.
