What You’ll Get to Do:
As a CACI-Wexford Combat Skills Instructor (CSI), you will train, educate, coach, and mentor Officers and Soldiers assigned to the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB), 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) (SOAR(A)). You will instruct, coach, and mentor students in a curriculum focused on physical fitness, level I Modern Army Combatives, land navigation/orienteering, first responder medical aid, weapons handling, rifle and pistol marksmanship training. You will train, educate, and prepare Officers and Soldiers with the necessary skills to perform in combat as members of 16oth SOAR(A).
More About the Role:
Other duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in Special Operations Aviation (SOA) “Soldier Training” for all enlisted and officers newly assigned to the Regiment.
- Conduct training on basic combat skills competencies which include but are not limited to first responder. medical aid, Combatives, land navigation, and weapons/marksmanship training.
- Provide mission readiness training to all 160th SOAR(A) soldiers.
- Advise leadership on proposed changes to Programs of Instruction (POI), Training Support packages (TSP), new and innovative equipment to support quality training and survival skills on the battlefield.
- Assist with facility maintenance as needed.
- Drive military vehicles as required.
- Assist with developing and conducting team building and culmination exercises.
- Assist with training for other units or spouses.
- Flight in ARSOAC aircraft to support team building and training exercises.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Secret security clearance
- Graduate of ARSOA Combat Skills, Ranger School, Special Forces Qualification Course and/or equivalent Joint Service SOF Operator Training/Qualification Course.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Special Operations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SOF unit training and/or SOF institutional training.
- Demonstrated familiarization with the Army Training Management Program and large-scale, enterprise-wide training programs.
- Experience integrating information, analysis, technology, and interagency collaboration, lessons learned, and best practices for training support to enable effective and efficient dissemination of threat training.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience with Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS).
- CAPM or PMP, or related certificates in project management.
- Demonstrated, recent (within the last five years) experience with or knowledge of the SOF training environment.
- Experience assessing training and preparing units for deployment into conflict zones. Experience planning, directing, and synchronizing intelligence collection, analysis, and production in support of training, deployment, and contingency operations.
- Proven understanding of the emerging and non-traditional concepts that are shaping the character of contemporary joint and multinational warfare.
